What a lot of fun this has been! Starting with a wedding in January 2022 and completing twelve months of live illustration with the EA Sustain festival in Colchester January 2023, my sketches have amused, flattered, and insulted across the UK. As festivals restarted post Covid, I attended many colourful outdoor events over the summer. Some of these were promoting the agricultural practices we embrace on our farm.

FarmEd held their first literary festival in Oxfordshire mid-May with an interesting line up of subjects waiting to be drawn. Wakelins in Suffolk held an agroforestry event at the end of May. This was also the first time they had held a weekend festival showcasing their delicious home grown and home prepared foods. It was truly a great party and many characters and friends arrived to provide much fun for my drawings. At the end of May I attended Glastonbudget for my first time where the cold weather did not deter the fancy dressers. The competitors were looking a little shabby by day 3!
In July I loaded up my Campervan, Manfred. And headed to Tollyfest where I drew for the whole weekend. This record is now in pride of place in the Tollemache Arms, host to the event.
